It has been a busy end of year for the team at Bloomin’ Dementia, with some disappointments, but as always, the team pulled together to finish off on a high!
It was with great sadness we made the difficult decision to cancel our Christmas event with Johnny Victory. We understand how important these social events are to everyone, however people's safety must come first and foremost, especially in the current climate with the new circulating COVID variant.
We hope next year to continue to bring smiles without masks to people's faces
On a much more positive note, thanks to amazing support of Lexis Nexis and The Spire Nottingham, the DB Elves were out delivering special Goodies to spread a little bit of cheer to the elderly and those with a diagnosis of dementia in the Nottingham community
We wrapped up the year with a last minute pub quiz at our Ruddington local, The White Horse.
The pub quiz was won by “We’re on the march with Cooper’s Army” and there was £600 raised. We’ve also had a few people do their annual Christmas jumper day on Saturday which raised £290.
We would like to thank all our volunteers, partners and everyone who has helped to make another difficult year a success. We could not do what we do without you and we wish you all the very best Christmas.
