Another season is in full swing, and the Bloomin’ Dementia team continue to work with people diagnosed with dementia and their families to provide comfort, entertainment and support.
Below is an update on events that have happened and new events for the rest of the year.
Big Day Out 2022
On the 28th of August, our annual Big Day Out was another huge success. The sun shone and we were welcomed by all the pubs on route.
Both Forest and Spurs football fans kindly donated, and we have raised a fantastic amount of £4603.76 (so far).

Race Night
Race night at the White Horse in Ruddington as a fun night for all, and raised another £440 for the charity.
Another race night event is in the planning for the next coming months. Watch this space!
Sights and Sounds of Goose Fair
A wonderful day was had at this event, where everyone had an amazing time looking at hand made models of Goose fair, eating mushy peas and mint sauce, candyfloss and popcorn!

Up and Coming Events
Starting this Wednesday, a new venture with The Joyful Jukebox brings us Music in Mind. Every two weeks we will be holding a singalong at Ruddington Village Hall.

Our final event of the year will be our Christmas Event on 15th December with music from Jonny Victory.

New Fundraising Initiatives
Our new venture with the Joyful Jukebox has been accepted in the Tesco’s Community Grant Scheme so please vote for us with your weekly shop at Tescos. Voting began on the 6th October and will continue until Mid January 2023!
