We would like to congratulate the winner of The Whitby Catch, who this year is John Maddock!! Thank you everyone who purchased tickets.
On the 3rd Feb, The Red Lion in Ruddington hosted our regular race night, raising £700.00 for BD! Thanks to Gaz McManus and his team for looking after everyone, especially John for running the raffle; Dave Allcock, Amy Troke for being our bookies, Daz Burley for the raffle prizes and everyone of you that turned out for a great night!
The first Ruddington Village Market of the year held a raffle for a delicious cake from The Ruddington Cake Company with all proceeds going towards Bloomin’ Dementia. Julie Rudolph was the lucky winner and £155 was raised.
Our first free event of the year was Sweet as Candy. It was great to see such a good turnout of familiar and new faces. Thank you to Western Power for sponsoring the event, The Cottage Hotel, Ruddington for hosting, our wonderful volunteers for making the event possible and to the amazing Jayne Darling for entertaining us!
Every Thursday, the Trent Bridge Community Trust are running Forget Me Notts, free sporting activities and social interaction sessions for those living with dementia and their carers. This is a fantastic initiative.
In April, Holly Rusz and her team are walking the Derbyshire Portway Challenge. This is an epic 49 miles trek over 3 continuous days along what was once an ancient prehistoric trackway. They are hoping to raise £500 to Bloomin’ Dementia. Click here to donate to Holly Rusz and her team.
