Long Awaited BD News: Part 1

Over the past couple of months, we have ramped up our funding and events and resumed our social presence and conscience in the local community.

The BD Summer Event.

This was held at our normal venue The Cottage Hotel, Easthorpe Street, Ruddington, Nottingham.

Local entertainer Johnny Victory entertained 40, plus guests with his usual gusto and as well as tea, coffee and cakes, we had (courtesy of BD Trustee Lesley Troke), a welcome free ice cream on a hot day from local Coronnatos Ices.

The Bloomin' Dementia Big Day Out.

Despite the effects of Covid19 on our attendance, we had a great day out on 'The Walk'.

Some extra special people walked 5K in the effort to raise funds for BD, taking in a few drinks along the way and having a great time raising a mammoth 3K plus, which means so much to a small charity, such as ours.

A brilliant day, a brilliant fundraiser, with brilliant people.

An Evening with Paul Hart and Charlie McParland

Bloomin’ Dementia fundraising began in earnest, with a renewed partnership with Southbank City on Friar Lane in the city centre of Nottingham. The official freelance partnership with the owners Tom Holydynsky and Owen Roach was renewed again on Friday September 3rd with Forest legends Paul Hart and Charlie McParland with a special Q & A event at the brand new 1998 Club downstairs at the venue.

Thank you to all that attended and the charity hopes to see you all again at future events in 2021. Special thanks to Owen and Tom for helping the charity in the past, in the present and in the future.

Charity Trustee Andy Hallam is now an official freelance partner for the venue and is now working up on six new events that ultimately will benefit Bloomin Dementia
